Why take-home is lower: agency cuts (20–50%), platform fees and payment processing come out of the headline rate. Direct platforms keep more of it; agency-managed campaigns keep less.
The catch nobody mentions: most campaigns need a minimum view count per clip (often 1,000–100,000) before any of it pays. Views below that threshold earn nothing, and clips that flop earn nothing. Real income is driven by a few hits, not an even spread.
